Vera Xia received her BA from Bard College in 2021 and is currently an MFA candidate at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Her work has been exhibited internationally. She is the recipient of the Kunpeng Award at the 2021 PIP Pingyao International Photography Festival and the Jury's Choice Award from Lin Zhipeng (aka "No. 223") at the Chiri Photography Festival, and was a nominee at the RPS International Photography Exhibition 167. Her documentary Where You Look (2023) was a finalist for Best Documentary at ARFF Amsterdam 2024, and her follow-up film Town Nexus (2024) is a finalist for the Globe Award at ARFF Amsterdam 2025.
